Mediatoolkit Evolves into Determ, Paving the Way for Next-Level Business Insights
By Monica Stankova access_time 2 min read

Founded in 2014, Mediatoolkit has established itself as a premier media monitoring solution that empowers businesses to make data-driven decisions. The company has recently undergone a comprehensive rebranding process and will now be known as Determ, a name that reflects its evolving capabilities and growth trajectory.

With time and changes, we started thinking about how our name reflects what we do. A toolkit is something you would want to keep in a box. We like to think that we’ve added so much to the box, that it was time to move on to something bigger.

The business has experienced tremendous growth, expanding to 50 employees, serving over 600 clients, and tracking more than 1 billion mentions each month from over 100 million online sources. This remarkable success has paved the way for developing new features, but the name proved to be a limiting factor, restricting the company’s full potential.

Well, though we find it hard to admit, our old name was a mouthful. It was long and difficult to remember. How can you even stand out from your competitors when your own clients can’t remember how your name is spelled?

The new brand name is short, easy to remember and reflects the company’s determination and commitment to providing businesses with the tools and insights they need to make informed decisions.

We tested going into the mid-market, we tested the new prices, we pushed the product further, and rebranding was the only missing piece of the puzzle.

Igor KranjÄŤec, Head of Marketing at Determ

We often see businesses rebranding when they have outgrown their name, like Denim, Adwisely, Hapana, Deft, and many more. Determ has further increased its brand value by investing in the exact brand match domain, opening new growth and development opportunities. One word .com domains project authority and professionalism and are much easier to type, thus improving the user experience. The ability of a name to be memorable helps brands to build stronger relationships with their customers, business partners, and investors.
