The rebrand follows the company’s strategic acquisition in 2020 of Appliances Connection, one of the leading retailers of household appliances in the U.S.
Polished represents a new chapter for the company, a transition from its origins as Goedeker’s, a television repair shop established in south St. Louis in 1951. Goedeker’s humble beginnings, which transformed into a significant player in the online retail space, led to the acquisition from New York private equity firm 1847 Holdings for $6.2 million in April 2019.
Since acquiring Appliances Connection, Polished has redefined itself as a growth-focused ecommerce platform with a distinct offering of core, premium, luxury and private label brands.
