Global Biopharmaceutical Services Leader CATO SMS Rebrands to Allucent
By Monica Stankova access_time 1 min read

CATO SMS has rebranded and became Allucent to emphasize the company’s spotlight on serving the specialized needs of small and mid-sized biotech companies.

The new name and branding come after a series of strategic acquisitions, most recently Pharm-Olam, that doubled the company’s size.

In three short years, we’ve transformed our company to meet the unique needs of small and mid-sized biotechs. Our new name, Allucent, puts the focus on the clients we exist to serve and aligns our people under our shared passion of helping to bring new therapies to light. As we continue our growth journey, we’re committed to making sure we remain big enough to deliver, but small enough to care.

Mark Goldberg, M.D., Chairman and CEO, Allucent

Derived from the Latin verb alluceo, Allucent means to shine a light upon something or create an opportunity.

CATO SMS used the domain name CATO-SMS.com before rebranding to Allucent. Dashes are often included with two-word brand names or added words when the business has to compromise on their domain if the exact brand match name is taken/not within reach.

The company acquired the EBM (Exact Brand Match) domain name Allucent.com and without a doubt – this represents a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy.
