OPPORTUNI is an AI-driven subscription service that identifies and distributes tender opportunities to businesses. The business launched in 2020 and has quickly established a leading position in the marketplace by providing the most accurate tender search results available and drawing opportunities from thousands of tender portals.
Founders Bill MacGregor and Tim Ward secured the local .co.uk domain name extension for the new brand. Fast forward to the end of 2021 and OPPORTUNI is one of the most exciting start-up companies in the space, having made over ÂŁ400M (over $540M) for its customers using machine learning and AI to match SMEs with contracts they can win.
The local .co.uk domain name has clearly been good for the UK market. But you would struggle to be a player on the global market and not have a global name. Working on making their services available across Europe and the US, OPPORTUNI was clearly no longer a local business. In August 2021 the brand invested in OPPORTUNI.COM, a clear decoration of where they are headed next.
The UK based company opened its first offices in Delaware in November 2021 and was the headline sponsor of the biggest Tender Conference in the US in Denver. OPPORTUNI is on track to become the first billion-dollar business in the Tees Valley and has recently acquired the tender searching website BidStats.
