Distributed is a UK-based software development company that provides an on-demand Elastic Team, matching enterprise clients and independent tech talent.
The company was launched in 2017 in London by Callum Adamson. Its legal name is in fact DSTBTD Ltd (yep, not an easy one to pronounce!). The vision for Distributed is “reinventing work and challenging the assumption that a local team equals the best team.” – the brand name clearly reflects that.
For years the startup operated on the .co domain extension, the country code for Colombia.

The brand invested in Distributed.com sometime in early June 2022, just before its latest funding round. Securing its brand is a clear sign the brand has long-term global ambitions and is here to stay.
