Settle Doesn’t Settle with a .co - the Brand Upgrades to Settle.com Matching Its Growth
By Arnaud PETIT access_time 1 min read

Settle is an all-in-one payments solution tailored to the needs of growing e-commerce brands. Settle makes it easier for founders and small business owners to pay bills, manage invoices, and apply for flexible financing solutions, allowing them to have more time to focus on actually building their businesses.

Founded in 2019 by Aleksander Koenig, Settle’s three early employees were Ukrainians in the very first physical office of Settle based in Lviv. Settle initially launched on Settle.co – the Internet country code top-level domain assigned to Colombia. The extension has been widely used as an alternative to .com by startups when they are early on in their development and can’t afford investmenting in premium digital assets.

To compete with something that has a lot of customers and strong network effects, you can’t build something slightly better, you have to build something 10x better.

Aleksander Koenig, founder and CEO, Settle.com

Sometime in 2011 the business upgraded its domain name to the more authoritative Settle.com. To date Settle has raised a total of $376M in funding over 6 rounds, with their latest funding in June 2022. The company currently has three offices — in Lviv, San Francisco, and New York, with the 45 member team having the ability to choose to work from home or in the office.
