Plaid is a fintech company based in San Francisco that makes the digital infrastructure linking financial data from people’s bank accounts to the apps they use to manage their money.
Launched in 2012, the company started out on the domain name Plaid.io and they upgraded to the EBM (Exact Brand Match) Plaid.com in December 2013. Considering that the number of people that have access to high-quality financial products has massively increased, this was a smart move by Plaid as it guarantees more trust for their brand.
