AfterShokz Starts a New Chapter Rebranding to Shokz

Shokz, the company formerly known as AfterShokz, specialized in open-ear headphones and bone conduction technology, has announced a rebrand of the company to mark their 10-year anniversary.

The brand has secured a .com domain name exactly matching their name – to further amplify the resonance of its rebrand. A shorter more memorable name that will support the company’s ambition to establish the brand as a real household name.

For the past decade, we’ve been hard at work bringing open-ear bone conduction technology to the masses, and thanks to the support of our teams, early adopters and passionate ShokzSquad community, we’re ready to take Shokz into the next chapter. While our name is shorter and easier to share, our mission and core values remain the same.

From now on, Aeropex, the company’s top-selling headphones, will be called OpenRun and Xtrainerz swimming headphones will be branded OpenSwim as the company means to unify its products’ identity.

“The“ o ”shows the representation of a sound wave and symbolizes Shokz’s focus on bone conduction technology and acoustics,” says the brand. “The point that was previously in the middle of the” o “has been removed to better illustrate the open-ear technology.”
