1Password is a password manager developed by AgileBits Inc. It provides a secure place (locked with a master password) for users to store various passwords and sensitive information.

The company announced that it raised $100 million in a Series B round of funding lead by Accel and nine other investors. Accel is an American venture capital firm that works with startups in seed, early and growth-stage investments. With total funding of $489M in 4 rounds, the company’s valuation has risen to $2 billion.

1Password is operating on 1password.com and has also secured a secondary domain name OnePassword.com. Securing different variations of how your customers and business partners may spell your domain is a great way to avoid confusion, traffic and email leaks and protect your brand. It is also a way to show respect to your audience by making sure whatever thet type, they are not going to waste their time. Having a number in the domain name is not commonly used, but 1Password is an excellent example of number utilization. It has a clear meaning, and number one is part of the business name and branding strategy.
