From Belvo.co to EBM Belvo.com: Belvo’s Domain Upgrade for Greater Impact
By Tsani Gramatikova access_time 2 min read

In 2019, Pablo Viguera and Oriol Tintoré, both seasoned in the financial sector and some of the fastest-growing international fintech companies, co-founded Belvo. Their vision was to establish a unified platform that connects users, businesses, and financial data across Latin America. Through Belvo, users can link their accounts to applications, allowing financial innovators to access and analyse end-user data easily and on a large scale.

Belvo has garnered support from leading venture capital funds in the United States and Latin America, including Founders Fund, Kaszek Ventures, and Y Combinator. The company first launched in Mexico and has expanded into Colombia and Brazil.

Since we started operating in 2020, our customer base has increased to over 60 companies across Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia and we now handle millions of monthly API calls. During the last year, we expanded our API coverage to over 40 financial institutions, now allowing companies to connect to over 90% of personal and business bank accounts in Latin America; as well as to tax authorities (like SAT, in Mexico).

Belvo Press release

Belvo launched on the Belvo.co domain. .co is a top-level domain extension acronym for a company or corporation. One potential downside is that some people may confuse it with .com, which could lead to traffic being directed to the exact wrong website.

With Belvo’s expansion and pursuit of larger goals, it has strategically upgraded to the Exact Brand Match (EBM) domain Belvo.com. EBM domains enhance the company’s marketing effectiveness across all channels, protect the brand online, and simplify connections with customers, business partners, and investors, ensuring a strong and consistent brand presence.

In today’s competitive online market, choosing the right domain name is crucial for businesses. Contact us to protect your business from the consequences of a poor domain choice.
